Oil Gilding
Gilding techniques involve applying fine gold leaf or powder to give solid materials a thin coating of gold. Oil gilding - also known as mordant gilding - is one of the most commonly used methods.
Oil gilding can be used inside or outside to highlight architectural details or create a feature wall or ceiling. It is ideal for metal objects, or those that will be in a damp environment.
