The Dorchester Hotel on Park Lane undertook a large renovation, where Angel worked predominantly in the new prestigious Vesper Bar.
The project was to apply a palladium leaf finish to large areas of the bar.
Scope of work
The scope of our work at the Dorchester Hotel, where we had already recently completed work to the Crystal Bar, was to gild the entirety of the ceiling, as well as panel mouldings on the walls, with a palladium leaf in the new luxurious Vesper Bar.
The team of highly skilled gilders that we had working on the Vesper Bar implemented a methodical process in order to achieve an extremely high quality finish that was essential, with the palladium reflecting like a mirror and showing no imperfections on the ceiling, whilst complementing the rest of the room. Further to this, we applied an antique, distressed finish to the greeter station that sits by the entrance to the main bar.
The bar opened in January 2023 to both the guests of The Dorchester Hotel and the public.
